Dr. David Tenembaum is one of the few gastroenterologist in Queens offering hemorrhoid banding ligation. A painless procedure in which the hemorrhoid is tied off at its base with tiny rubber bands, cutting off the blood flow causing them to shrink and fall off.

A procedure in which an instrument is introduced into the body allowing for examination of esophagus, stomach and small intestine to diagnose causes for abdominal pain, bloating, difficulty swallowing, heartburn, nausea, weight loss and anemia. 

A procedure in which an instrument is introduced into the body allowing for the gastroenterologist to examine the large intestine and the final portion of the small intestine. It is commonly used to test for colon cancer and pre-cancerous polyps. 

A procedure in which a tiny wireless capsule is introduced allowing for the examination of the small intestine. Capsule endoscopy is patient friendly and the standard of care for small bowel evaluation helping our team detect the presence of lesions in the small bowel.
